动量指标是最简单的趋势指标，是一种技术分析工具。
动量表示交易工具在一段时间内的价格变化。 它可以应用为：
振荡器跟随这一趋势，类似于移动平均收敛/分离MACD。 在这种情况下，如果动量下跌然后上涨，交易者会收到买入的信号。 交易者应该卖出，当动量达到高峰，然后下跌。 为了更精确地确定动量反转，可以使用其短均线。 指标特别高或低的值表明趋势将持续。 如果动量指标非常高，然后转向下跌，价格可能会继续上涨。 但是，交易者应该花费时间打开或关闭头寸，直到价格确认信号。
领先指标。 这种使用方式取决于假设：价格的突然上涨是看涨趋势结束的前兆（因为每个人都认为它会继续下去），而突然下跌预示着看跌趋势的恶化（正如每个人都试图退出市场）。 基本上，这两种情况发生，但这种泛化太广泛。 一旦市场收盘达到顶峰，动能就会上涨。 然后，随着价格不断上涨或保持平稳，它开始跳水。 如果市场已经见底，动能只会在价格开始上涨之前长期向上反转。 在这两种情况下，动量和价格水平之间存在差距。

动量 = CLOSE(i)/CLOSE(i-N)*100
CLOSE(i) – 当前柱形的收市价格,
CLOSE(i-N) – 前N个时段柱形的收市价格。
